Safe Spawn Area

Several times when i have joined the server, there has been numerous enemies "waiting" for me, and i think that there should be a safe "spawn room". For example a glass walls could enclose the spawn area, along with torches creating a safe spawn for new players. There could also be a maze that new players would have to navigate in order to gain access to the server.
